MLB TV Schedule, 7/28 Day Games: Angels/Tigers, Cubs/Brewers

12:30 p.m., MLB Network, SNY, FSN Ohio: Mets at Reds. The Mets are probably in sell mode now -- even though they have a better record than the Reds. MLBN viewers in New York and Cincinnati will see Marlins vs. Nationals.

1 p.m., FSN West, FSN Detroit: Angels at Tigers. This isn't a "getaway day" game, actually; it's the first of a four-game weekend series between these two contenders, oddly played as an afternoon contest.

2 p.m., WGN: Cubs at Brewers. The Cubs try to salvage a game from the NL Central leaders; Randy Wells will face Shaun Marcum.

3:30 p.m., Sun Sports: Rays at Athletics. If the Rays intend to stay in the race, they need to win this game.

Worth noting: Diamondbacks at Padres. Neither team is providing TV coverage of this afternoon contest at San Diego that starts at 3:30 p.m. ET. Like the old days, if you're interested, you'll have to listen to radio broadcasts. Refreshing, in a way.
