Barry Zito was scheduled to pitch against the Reds this Sunday.

What seems clear, though, is that once Jonathan Sanchez is ready to rejoin the rotation, Zito will become the Giants' No. 6 starter, behind Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner, Vogelsong, and Sanchez. Now, the six-man rotation has suddenly come into vogue, but it seems unlikely that Bruce Bochy will succumb to that particular temptation.
↵Stay tuned. Looks like Zito might soon find himself in the bullpen, or seeking new employment.
