Chris Chester Reportedly Agrees To Five-Year Deal With Redskins

Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Chris Chester is moving down the road to D.C., joining the Washington Redskins and reportedly agreeing to a five-year deal with the team.

The deal is reportedly for $20 million.

Chester has been a borderline stater in recent years for the Ravens, each time usually due to an injury suffered by someone else. In 2008, he started 11 games at right guard due to Marshal Yanda's season-ending knee injury. In 2009, Chester started the first nine games of the season for Yanda recovered and started four more at the tight end position. In 2010, he replaced right guard Jared Gaither after he was lost for the season.

Drafted as a center, Chester has bounced around the line based on where needed, without excelling at any one spot. The expectation is that he will remain a back-up and spot stater with his new team.
