Only a couple hours after WR Chad Ochocinco hinted he was going to the New England Patriots, ESPN has reported that, indeed, Ochocinco is headed to the Patriots. Per ESPN's John Clayton, the former Cincinnati Bengals receiver has been traded to New England after restructuring his contract. He now has a new three-year deal, according to the report.

Let me be the first to say it -- wow. This move had been rumored before but seeing it actually happen is still a little surprising.
The Patriots now get another receiver to pair with QB Tom Brady and Ochocinco will hope to revitalize his career. He eclipsed the 1,000 yard receiving mark in six of his first seven seasons in Cincinnati before seeing his stats decline in two of the last three years.
He spent 10 years in Cincinnati before this trade, which will become official once Ochocinco can officially restructure his contract on Friday night. Clayton reports Ochocinco was scheduled to make $6.35 million in 2011.
