So that's why the Miami Dolphins released LB Channing Crowder.
Kevin Burnett Heading To Miami Dolphins, According To Report
According to multiple reports, the Dolphins have signed free agent LB Kevin Burnett, most recently of the San Diego Chargers. Crowder was released only hours before Burnett's signing was reported.
As of 6:00 p.m. (ET) Friday evening, teams are allowed to actually sign players. Previously, it was a negotiation period with no official signings.
Burnett was reportedly receiving interest in free agency from four teams including the San Diego Chargers, Buffalo Bils, Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans.
There’s some discrepancy on what kind of contract he received. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune reports it’s a five-year deal while Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald reports it’s a four-year deal.
