1:30 p.m., MLB Network, NESN, RSN: Blue Jays at Red Sox. Brandon Morrow will face John Lackey in this holiday matinee.

1:30 p.m., FSN Houston, ROOT Sports Pittsburgh: Astros at Pirates. Yes, the Pirates are featured here today -- only 1.5 games out of first place and facing the team with the worst record in the National League, the Pirates are making themselves part of playoff discussion.

6:30 p.m., MLB Network, YES Network, STO: Yankees at Indians. Derek Jeter is expected back for the Yankees today, resuming his quest for his 3,000th hit.

9 p.m., FSN Detroit, FSN West: Tigers at Angels. Neither of these teams has a great record, but the Angels sit tied for first place and the Tigers begin the day just half a game behind the Indians.
