Over two months later, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall has finally talked with police about an alleged stabbing incident by his wife. According to Marshall's lawyer:
Brandon Marshall Talks To Police About April Stabbing Incident
“He indeed appeared at the Broward state attorney’s office and gave a statement to investigators,” Ishoy wrote. “The investigation continues.”
Marshall talked with police after a subpoena had been issued in his name. What had held up Marshall’s statement was a no-contact order placed on his wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall. It had been put in place after the alleged April 22 incident in which she stabbed him in the stomach with a kitchen knife.
As has been noted previously, Marshall originally lied about how he suffered the wound, claiming he fell on a vase. When he was with the Denver Broncos, Marshall had claimed an arm injury occurred after he slipped on a McDonald's wrapper and went into a TV. He later changed his story to having wrestled with his brother at the time of the incident.
