MLB TV Schedule, 7/8: Derek Jeter, Mets/Giants

Surprisingly, there is no national TV coverage scheduled for Derek Jeter's pursuit of his 3,000th hit Friday night. ESPN and MLB Network will have to be satisfied with live cut-ins. All times Eastern.

7 p.m., YES Network, Sun Sports: Rays at Yankees. In addition to Jeter's quest, the Rays will try to close the gap between themselves and first place in the AL East.

↵↵

7 p.m., CSN Philadelphia, SportSouth: Braves at Phillies. The Braves, 2.5 games behind the Phillies in the NL East, send Brandon Beachy against Roy Halladay.

↵↵

8 p.m., FSN Ohio, FSN Wisconsin: Reds at Brewers. The Brewers are tied for first place with the Cardinals in the NL Central. The Reds trail by three and are in fourth place.

↵↵

10 p.m., MLB Network, CSN Bay Area, SNY: Mets at Giants. Raise your hand if you knew that Ryan Vogelsong was going to be on this year's All-Star team. MLBN's call of the game will include two longtime network baseball broadcasters: Bob Costas and Al Michaels.
