Roughly half the NFL still travels to another site for training camp but with the uncertainty surrounding the league this year due to the NFL lockout, some teams are making the decision to stay home. First, it the Baltimore Ravens who announced they would be conducting training camp at their facility and then it was the New York Jets who announced last week they too would be staying home.
New York Giants Training Camp Will Remain At Home
The latest team to move training camp -- New York Giants. Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reports the Giants, who normally conduct training camp in Albany, will instead be working at their Meadowlands practice facility.
It was previously thought that a labor agreement would need to be completed by July 15 in order for teams to make training camp plans on time but the Giants are the third team to change their camp plans already.
If a labor deal isn’t reached soon, more teams will be following suit.
