The New York Giants are keeping one of their own. According to the Star-Ledger, RB Ahmad Bradshaw has agreed to terms with the Giants on a four-year deal. Financial terms of the contract weren't disclosed.
Ahmad Bradshaw Returning To Giants On Four-Year Deal, According To Report
Bradshaw was flirting with free agency for the past week but apparently didn't get any offers he wanted. He was linked to a couple of running back-needy teams including the Miami Dolphins but nothing came of it. The Giants reportedly planned to bring in RB Jason Snelling for a visit so it's possible they thought at one point that Bradshaw wouldn't be back.
Bradshaw almost never had a chance in the NFL. The Giants drafted him in the seventh round in the 2007 NFL draft and he only got on the field in year one because of injuries to the guy ahead of him. He’s progressed well in the NFL increasing his rushing yards every year culminating in a career high 1,235 yards in 2010.
So Bradshaw is back after we thought he might leave New York. I think this is the right move for them bringing him back on a four-year deal as he’s still young and has plenty tread left on his tires.
