Jacoby Ford Injury: Raiders WR Suffers Broken Hand In Practice

Jacoby Ford will sit at least two weeks with a broken left hand suffered during practice Saturday, according to Raiders head coach Hue Jackson. Ford left practice with his entire left arm in bandages, from his biceps to the middle of his hand.

Jackson was adamant that Ford would be ready for the start of the regular season.

“Jacoby Ford will be fine, O.K.?” Jackson said following Saturday’s practice. “And, again, those are the things that happen. But he’s good. He’ll be back. I feel very good about it. He’s good, his spirits are good and we’ll be rolling soon.”

Ford made his mark in special teams as a rookie last season, returning three kicks for touchdowns. He is expected to see an expanded offensive role this season, coming off a year in which he caught 25 passes for 470 yards in addition to 155 yards rushing.
