ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that, despite initial back and forth, the Buffalo Bills are now open to trading former first round pick and wide receiver Lee Evans and expect to do so within the next 48 hours.
Lee Evans Trade Rumors: Buffalo Looking To Trade WR Within 48 Hours, According To Report
A person familiar with discussions told The Associated Press that teams have approached the Bills about Evans. However, the person said Buffalo would only trade the receiver if it was able to get “something substantial” in return. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not stated whether they’ve had talks to trade Evans.
Arizona could be a potential destination. The Cardinals could use the depth after recently losing Steve Breaston to the Chiefs. In Arizona, Evans would be part of a new-look offense headed by Kevin Kolb.
The Baltimore Ravens are also considered very interested in Evans as well.
When contacted, Bills GM Buddy Nix said “there’s nothing to talk about.”
