When Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez was diagnosed with a concussion on Manchester United's preseason tour of the United States it was hoped that the striker would be back on the pitch sometime in August. That will not be the case though as the Red Devils have confirmed that the Mexican will be out through at least the end of the month. The hope is that he can return at the beginning of September.
Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez Out Until September
Chicharito suffered his concussion in training on June 26 and has not been able to participate in training since. He was the great surprise for United last season, scoring 20 goals in his first season since moving to Old Trafford from Chivas de Guadalajara. The hope was that the 23-year-old would be able to cement his spot up top in the starting XI next to Wayne Rooney this season and while those hopes remain, everything is on hold as he recovers from his concussion.
