Rain Results In Monday NASCAR Race At Watkins Glen; Get The Start Time, Starting Lineup And More Here

Let’s try this again, shall we? It’s NASCAR race day at Watkins Glen (we hope) and if the rain holds off, the Sprint Cup Series race should be getting underway this morning.

Start time: Fingers crossed, but the start time for this morning’s rescheduled NASCAR race is 10 a.m. Eastern time. Hopefully, there won’t be any more rain delays.

Race name/distance: The “Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips At The Glen” is unusual in that it’s virtually the same length as Saturday’s Nationwide Series race. The Sprint Cup race is 90 laps (Nationwide was 82), which totals 220.5 miles.

TV and radio: ESPN will still be televising the race today despite the postponement. If you’re stuck at work and aren’t near a TV, the radio broadcast can be found on your local Motor Racing Network (MRN) affiliate. Click here to see a list of stations where you can listen.

How else you can follow the race at work: We’ll be posting regular updates here at SBNation.com as well as more frequent updates via Twitter at @jeff_gluck.

Weather: Iffy. Check the Twitter account of @NASCAR_WXMAN for the latest developments, but it was touch-and-go as of Saturday night. A Tuesday race remains a possibility.

Last time: One year ago, Juan Pablo Montoya won his second career Sprint Cup Series race, completing the career sweep of NASCAR’s Cup road courses. Marcos Ambrose and Kurt Busch are the favorites for today’s race.
