Charlie Adam has now tried two shots from 60 yards, which have predictably resulted in a grand total of zero goals. this time it comes straight from second half kickoff and drops directly into Wojciech Szczesny's arms. Absolutely pointless from the Liverpool midfielder, although if that had gone in he'd have been immortalised, so I suppose in terms of risk-reward it might make some sense at a personal level.
Liverpool Vs. Arsenal: Second Half Underway
Not much else has happened yet in the second half. Arsenal are continuing the bright spell with which they ended the first, but they're having real trouble breaking down a stubborn Liverpool defence at the moment - not really a surprise considering that all three of Theo Walcott, Andrei Arshavin and Robin van Persie look off the pace. Liverpool aren't much better, even against a jury-rigged home side. I wonder how long it'll be before Luis Suarez makes an appearance. He'd make this 0-0 game more interesting.
