Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones left Tuesday night's game in Minnesota with a mysterious illness. After the game, Orioles manager Buck Showalter sounded quite concerned:

“He was feeling a little down and just weak. After his first at-bat and everything it didn’t get any better,” said Orioles manager Buck Showalter. “We didn’t like what he was describing, so we decided to get him out of there and let the doctors take a look at him.
“They’re still looking into it, haven’t really been able to nail it down. We just want to rule a lot of things out. To be on the safe side, we’re going to let them do some more tests at the hospital.” That doesn’t sound too good. Fortunately, after having those tests done, it appears that Jones is OK, reported the Sporting News. As is common these days, we got the report first-hand from Jones himself via his own Twitter account at about 1:30 a.m. CT:
Back from hospital. Wasn’t as serious as it sounded. Glad everything is in order. Appreciate the support and well wishes. Back at it mañana.
So, it appears Jones is fine and will be back in the Orioles' lineup when they take on the Twins tonight in Minneapolis. Jones, hitting .296/.333/.489 with 22 HR and 77 RBI, is one of the few bright spots in a dismal Orioles season.
