Watching the A's and Yankees last night, I was pretty sure that Andrew Bailey struck out Robinson Canó looking to end the game.
Upon Further Review...
↵Umpire Gary Cederstrom disagreed.
↵Baseball Prospectus’s Mike Fast has looked at the PITCHf/x data, and the data’s on my (and Bailey’s) side. But the pitch was probably a lot closer than it looked on TV, and umpires do miss pitches that close with some frequency.
