2011 Little League World Series Bracket: California Survives, Advances To U.S. Finals

The LLWS field is down to four, and the plan is to crown a champion on Sunday. Who will compete for this year’s title?

The field has been narrowed down to four — two international and two United States teams — gearing up for a whirlwind finish to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

U.S. West ended U.S. Mid-Atlantic’s , the hometown team from Clinton County, Pa., miracle run 2-0, and the team from Huntington Beach how has a 23-1 scoring differential in the LLWS.

That 1 can be attributed to the team they’ll face in the U.S. Championship, Northwest’s representative from Billings, Mont., who beat West 1-0 Wednesday night. They’ll (probably) face off again Saturday at 3 p.m., Hurricane Irene permitting.

The international side saw Japan beat the Venezuelan team representing Latin America. Japan will now match up with Mexico, which beat Latin American Wednesday night, at noon Saturday to determine the International champion. The winner of that game will face either Northwest or West on Sunday — or Monday, more likely — to determine the champion of the little league world.

Then we can finally get back to ESPN showing us what we really want to see — reruns of old World’s Strongest Man competitions.
