The Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers finished up their four-game series on Thursday night. Fortunately for the visiting team, though, Red Sox slugger Adrian Gonzalez seems poised to continue his recent hot streak.
Red Sox Vs. Rangers: Adrian Gonzalez Blasts Two More Homers In 6-0 Win
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers on Thursday night, in part due to Adrian Gonzalez’s two homers through the first three innings of action.

Gonzalez hit homers in his first two at bats to lead the Red Sox to a 6-0 victory over the hosting Rangers, allowing him to continue his recent home run tear as he went yard five times in the final three games of the four-game series after previously being in a bit of a slump.
“I hit them in spurts,” Gonzalez told MLB.com’s Ian Browne. “Everybody knows that. When I have a good swing, it’s just a feeling I have, and you hit them in bunches. It’s a time right now when I feel good. Hopefully I can continue swinging like that tomorrow.”
The Red Sox got production out of more than just Gonzalez, though, as Jarrod Saltalamacchia and David Ortiz also hit blasts off of Texas starter Alexi Ogando before he was given the hook after just four innings on the mound.
With the win, partially in thanks to starter Andy Miller's 6.1 shutout innings, Boston improves to an AL East leading 80-50 this season -- staying one game in front of the rival New York Yankees.
