MLB TV Schedule, 8/9: Tigers/Indians, Angels/Yankees

There’s a full slate of action tonight in baseball, including two series between teams competing for division titles. All times Eastern.

7 p.m., MLB Network, STO, FSN Detroit: Tigers at Indians. This won't be Cleveland's last chance to catch Detroit -- the two play nine more times after this week -- but neither can they afford to fall too far past their current deficit (four games). MLBN viewers in Detroit and Cleveland will see Angels vs. Yankees.

7 p.m., FSN West, WWOR: Angels at Yankees. Meanwhile, out West, the Angels trail the Rangers by just 1.5 games.

8 p.m., FSN Midwest, FSN Wisconsin: Brewers at Cardinals. The Brewers have just swept the Astros on the road to "improve" their road mark to 24-35. The Cardinals are better than the Astros. St. Louis trails Milwaukee by 2.5 games.

10 p.m., CSN Bay Area, ROOT Sports Pittsburgh: Pirates at Giants. Speaking of the Astros, San Francisco sends them a big "thank you" for beating the Diamondbacks Monday night; that kept the Giants in first place in the NL West by half a game, even as they themselves lost to Pittsburgh.
