MLB TV Schedule, 9/14 Day Games: Red Sox/Blue Jays, Phillies/Astros

The Phillies try once again to clinch a playoff spot; on getaway day this afternoon, there are several important games. All times Eastern.

1:30 p.m., NESN, RSN: Blue Jays at Red Sox. The Red Sox have outscored the Blue Jays 133-72 in the 17 games played between the clubs so far this year. (No, that wasn't all Tuesday night.)

2 p.m., CSN Chicago, FSN Detroit: Tigers at White Sox. The Tigers can clinch a tie for the AL Central title if they win this game and the Indians lose tonight.

2 p.m., CSN Philadelphia, FSN Houston: Phillies at Astros. For the third straight day, the Phillies try to clinch a playoff berth. And beat the woeful Astros. And this time, try to avoid getting swept.

3:30 p.m., CSN California, FSN West: Angels at Athletics. The Angels still hang in there in the AL West race; three games behind the Rangers, if they can hold that deficit (or smaller) until they meet Texas for the season's last three games, they have a shot.
