MLB TV Schedule, 9/25: Yankees/Red Sox, Angels/Athletics

Several of today’s games are on national TV. Most of them are important. All times Eastern.

1 p.m., TBS, YES Network, NESN: Red Sox at Yankees, Game 1. The Red Sox still cling to the wild card lead, but they have not played well lately. TBS announcers will be Matt Vasgersian and Ron Darling.

2 p.m., CSN Chicago, FSN Midwest: Cubs at Cardinals. The Cardinals' miracle comeback Saturday put them two games out of the wild card lead; they just need to keep winning.

3:30 p.m., FSN Southwest, CSN California: Angels at Athletics. The Angels are 2½ games out of the wild card lead; they need to leapfrog the Rays to have a real shot.

4 p.m., TBS, CSN Bay Area, FSN Arizona: Giants at Diamondbacks. TBS is doing its first-ever Sunday doubleheader. They picked the wrong game, unfortunately; this one means nothing. TBS announcers will be Steve Physioc and John Smoltz.

6:30 p.m., MLB Network, YES Network, NESN: Red Sox at Yankees, Game 2. There is no ESPN game tonight; this one will serve as a Sunday night national broadcast on MLB Network.
