Earlier today, I wrote about a few interesting September call-ups. But aside from Italian third baseman Alex Liddi, the single most interesting story -- which I missed -- might be Adam Loewen.
Another Interesting Call-Up

The fourth overall pick in the 2002 amateur draft, Loewen pitched 112 innings for the Orioles in 2006, and pitched again for the O's in 2007 and '8.

Well, now he's back in the majors. With the Blue Jays. As an outfielder. After hitting .306/.377/.508 with triple-A Las Vegas in his third season as an every-day player.
↵In all honesty, a 27-year-old outfielder with those stats isn’t anything to get excited about. Unless he was, just three years ago, a pitcher. Which Loewen was. So get excited, already!
