The No. 3-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles could be poised for a big tournament. The Golden Eagles had little trouble getting by the No. 12 BYU Cougars in the opening round of the 2012 NCAA tournament, beating the Cougars by a final score of 88-68.

Marquette head coach Buzz Williams had his team ready to play after a loss to the Louisville Cardinals in last week's Big East Tournament. The Golden Eagles were tough on the boards, out-rebounding BYU 48 to 32.
Jae Crowder had a double-double for Marquette with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Darius Johnson-Odom chipped in another 20 points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.
Marquette advances to play the No. 6 Murray St. Racers in the second round of the 2012 NCAA tournament.
