The No. 2-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes tipped off against No. 15 Loyola late Thursday night with the Greyhounds hoping to pull a big upset in the first round, keeping the game close early on. That was early on, however, as the Buckeyes were able to get their flow going and pull away from Loyola, taking a 42-31 lead into halftime.

Deshaun Thomas currently leads the Buckeyes in scoring with 14 points and 6 rebounds while Jared Sullinger added another 12 points and 6 rebounds. The Buckeyes have out rebounded Loyola so far in the first half 25-16. For the Greyhounds, Erik Etherly leads the way with 12 points and 5 rebounds while Dylon Cormier has added 8 points as Loyola hopes to battle back in the second half.
