Georgia Vs. No. 1 Kentucky: Wildcats Obliterate Bulldogs, 79-49

The No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats thoroughly dominated the Georgia Bulldogs, winning easily, 79-49.

Presswire

In their second-to-last game of the regular season, the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats proved their focus while beating up viciously on the Georgia Bulldogs, 79-49. With 9:41 left in the game, the Wildcats led 72-31 and coasted the rest of the way. Seven different Kentucky players scored eight points or more, displaying the depth and the talent that has led them to the top ranking in the country.

Senior guard Darius Miller led the Wildcats with 17 points, while the underclassman stars of the team — freshmen Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Glichrist and Marquis Teague and sophomore Terrence Jones — all were able to play 30 minutes or less, crucial rest before a Saturday season-finale against the No. 16 Florida Gators. As a team, the Wildcats had 16 assists against only seven turnovers, shot 49 percent from the field and 55 percent from long range.

Forward Donte Williams scored 17 points for the Bulldogs, the only Georgia player in double-digits. The Bulldogs only committed six turnovers, but shot 33 precent from the field and 15 percent from deep, which isn’t a recipe for success against the best team in college basketball.
