Alabama running back Trent Richardson is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2012 NFL draft, but teams may not be able to see him in workouts until the end of March. Richardson will not participate in drills at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this week after undergoing a knee procedure earlier this month.
Trent Richardson Has Knee Injury; Workout Scheduled For March 27
Alabama’s Trent Richarsdon had a minor knee procedure earlier this month and will not be available to work out for teams until March 27, according to a report.

Alabama’s pro day is March 7 but NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports Richardson won’t be available for on-field drills until a workout scheduled for March 27.
Richardson underwent minor knee surgery approximately three weeks ago, according to a report, but it’s considered “no big deal at all.” The injury apparently occurred in a practice leading up to the BCS National Championship game.
Richardson is projected to go as high as the top five in the NFL draft. The injury shouldn’t affect him if it is indeed not a big deal. If he can work out by the end of March, that will be plenty of time for teams to bring him in for individual workouts before the draft at the end of April.
