The New Orleans Saints are without a first or second round pick in the 2012 NFL draft due to them trading away last year's pick and then forfeiting their second round pick this year in the bounty scandal. Despite that, they still have needs to fill. SB Nation's Saints blog, Canal Street Chronicles, addressed the biggest needs facing the Saints.
Saints NFL Draft Needs: Defense Is The Focus


Yet another off-season where the Saints need to focus primarily at finding help on the defensive side of the ball. The team has sufficiently addressed their linebacker deficiencies during the free agency period so now they’re free to focus on cornerback and defensive line during this year’s draft. The Saints could also use some upgrading on their offensive line, particularly at tackle.
