The St. Louis Rams had a surprisingly bad 2011 regular season so they have plenty of holes to fill in the NFL draft. Luckily for them, they have the firepower to do pretty much whatever they want after stockpiling picks in a pre-draft trade with the Redskins. SB Nation's Rams blog, Turf Show Times, addressed the Rams needs entering the 2012 NFL draft.

Is everything a need? The Rams need help all over the roster, but a glaring lack of talent on offense stands out as the biggest hole in the team's future.

Wide receiver - The Rams have a long queue of decent slot receivers, but no options for the outside. A lack of receivers has slowed Sam Bradford's development since his Rookie of the Year season in 2010.

Offensive line - What really sunk Bradford's sophomore effort was a lack of protection. Jason Smith, who is due more than $10 million this season, is a lost cause. Roger Saffold was overmatched on the left side, and probably needs to move to the right. The Rams need better protection on the flanks, and adding another offensive guard to work with Scott Wells and Harvey Dahl in the middle is another need.

Outside linebacker - The Rams run defense was terrible last season, in part because they had no players capable of containing the outside of the field. Jo-Lonn Dunbar, a free agent addition, is in the mix for the strong side role, but the teams still needs a player capable of making a difference on the weak side.
