NFL Draft Rumors: Vikings Could Be Leaning Towards Morris Claiborne

The Minnesota Vikings hold the No. 3 overall pick and speculation from the outset has leaned toward the idea that the team would be selecting USC Trojans offensive tackle Matt Kalil, believed to be the top offensive lineman in the draft. On Thursday, Michael Lombari of the NFL Network reported that the Vikings are "focused" on LSU Tigers cornerback Morris Claiborne. Lombardi stated that the Vikings would then opt to pick up a tackle in the second round.
Most mock drafts up until this point have tied the Vikings to either Kalil or Oklahoma St. Cowboys wide receiver Justin Blackmon. The discussion of Claiborne is an interesting development.
