Former California Golden Bears offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz was selected in the second round on Friday by the Cleveland Browns. Schwartz becomes the No. 37 overall selection in the 2012 NFL draft. Schwartz was the seventh-ranked offensive tackle in this year's class, according to Mocking The Draft's rankings.

Here’s what Mocking The Draft had to say about Schwartz before the draft.

Strengths: Displays good power to neutralize stronger defensive ends and is quick enough to move to the outside against speed guys. Seems to have a great understanding of the game and knows how to pick up blitzes.

Weaknesses: Has a tendency to get high in his stance, which negates his power advantage. Range in pass protection is questionable. Needs to keep his legs moving more in the run game.

In the first round, the Browns selected Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden.
