NFL Draft Grades: Robert Griffin III Headlines NFC East Selections (VIDEO)

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner, as expected, was drafted by the Washington Redskins on Thursday night. As the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Robert Griffin III was the biggest name drafted by an NFC East team in the first round, as well as the biggest no-brainer pick.

The Dallas Cowboys surprised many by trading up in the draft order in order to land Morris Claiborne. Similarly, the Philadelphia Eagles swapped places with the Seattle Seahawks so they could bring home defensive tackle Fletcher Cox. The New York Giants, by comparison, had a quiet evening, as they maintained their spot as the last team of the first round and selected running back David Wilson, perhaps as a replacement for the departed Brandon Jacobs.
