Ohio State’s J.B. Shugarts And Andrew Sweat Sign With Browns, According To Reports

The Cleveland Browns began their 2012 NFL Draft by adding Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden and they finished the weekend by signing several undrafted free agents, including two in-state Buckeyes, according to reports. Ohio State's J.B. Shugarts and Andrew Sweat both signed with the Browns, according to the Plain Dealer. Shugarts was a highly-recruited tackle out of Texas and played all four years in Columbus. Sweat, on the other hand, worked his way into an impact linebacker in the Big Ten, and the Steelers fan, who's put off law school, immediately changed his AFC North allegiance.

Along with the two Ohio State players, the Browns also signed two major college contributors from the state of Florida. Florida State's Bert Reed is a speedy wideout and return specialist, who will have to compete with fourth-round pick Travis Benjamin out of Miami for a special teams spot. William Green, a pass-rushing defensive end for the Gators, also reportedly signed a deal with the Browns.

Here’s a complete list of the Browns undrafted free agent signings, via Mocking The Draft:
