Kendall Wright’s Contract With Titans Is Done; Justin Blackmon Lone Unsigned 1st Round Pick

And then there was one. The Tennessee Titans on Tuesday wrapped up a deal with 1st round pick Kendall Wright, according to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com. Wright was one of two 1st rounds picks remaining, which means only Justin Blackmon and the Jacksonville Jaguars remain.

Wright's presence with the Titans has a greater importance with Kenny Britt's situation. Britt, the Titans top receiver, is facing a possible multi-game suspension as well as a recovery from multiple knee surgeries. Wright missed only a few days of Titans camp so he now enters camp with the team where he could be getting some time at Britt's position.

SB Nation’s Music City Miracles is interested to see how quickly he can integrate himself into the offense.

At this point the work that he has missed is not something that cannot be made up quickly. There have been some really good reports so far in camp about guys like Damian Williams and Marc Mariani, so Wright might have a little bit of an uphill battle in the early going, but if he was worth the 20th pick in the draft, it should not take him very long to pass those guys on the depth chart.

The Titans are also facing a quarterback competition between veteran Matt Hasselbeck and year two player Jake Locker.
