Bills Want To Sign Fred Jackson To Longterm Deal Before 2012 Season
Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is hoping to bounce back from a fractured fibula that cut his 2011 season short. Bills GM Buddy Nix is hopeful that the team will be able to sign Jackson to a contract extension.

Chris Brown on the official Bills website reports that general manager Buddy Nix is determined to provide Jackson with a new agreement.
“Fred and I have talked,” said Nix. “We want to extend Fred. I’d like for Fred to finish his career as a Bill. He’s meant a lot to us. I’ve got great respect for him. We do want Fred back and we do intend to try to work out a deal with him. I’ve told him that. What we said is what we’re going to do.”
Nix went on to say that talks between the Bills and Jackson’s camp have not yet started, but that they hope to come to an agreement on an extension before the 2012 season begins.
