Free Agent Pierre Garcon Drawing Interest From Redskins, Rams

The St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins are among the teams in the mix for free agent receiver Pierre Garcon, according to reports. One report says he is talking contract with the Redskins so his free agency tour may be a quick one.

Garcon turned down a contract extension from the Indianapolis Colts this offseason so it's no surprise he made it to free agency.

Garcon is coming off the best season of his career catching 70 balls for 947 yards and six touchdowns last season. The Redskins reportedly plan to add a high-profile receiver in free agency but their free agent efforts have been hurt by the ruling that they are out $36 million in cap space over the next two seasons.

In St. Louis, the Rams are looking to replace Brandon Lloyd and Garcon would fit in nicely with Sam Bradford. Adding weapons for the Rams QB should be a priority this season.
