The Buffalo Bills recently locked in wide receiver Steve Johnson for five years, but that doesn't mean they're done on the free agency front at the wide receiver position. The Bills are interested in impending free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson, according to a report out of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Buffalo Rumblings, SB Nation's Bills blog makes note of the connection between Jackson and the Bills.
Bills Free Agency: Vincent Jackson An Option, According To Report
Jackson, as most of you are aware, has a direct tie to Bills GM Buddy Nix; Nix was the Chargers' Assistant GM when Jackson was made a second-round pick in 2005. Since then, Jackson has blossomed into one of the better wide receivers in the league, including a Pro Bowl appearance in 2009. For his career, he has 272 receptions, 4,754 yards and 37 touchdowns.
Pairing up the duo of Vincent Jackson and Stevie Johnson would give the Bills a heck of a receiving duo and a nice set of targets for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to target. Jackson is believed to be highly sought after in the free agent market.
