2012 Super Bowl Odds: Line Moving Closer To New York Giants

Super Bowl 46 is just hours away and, as these things are wont to do, the odds are slowly moving away from what Vegas predicted when the match-up between the New York Giants and New England Patriots was set last month. The latest line seems to be favoring Tom Coughlin's Giants a little bit more than originally anticipated.

The line opened up with the Patriots favored by 3½ points in 2012’s Big Game, but the majority of the online betting sites have dropped the point spread to favor New England by a bit less. They’re still expected to win, but it’s now by a point less than the first guesses according to Odds Shark.

In a move that may or may not be related, the over-under on the game has also dropped a couple points on most sites. The point total was originally expected to be 55 points by the prognosticators, but it’s down to 53 on most of the websites indexed by Odds Shark.
