Ryan Howard, large human being, finished 10th in MLB with 33 home runs. This is because he’s a large, strong human being.

↵But in case you forgot what things just to be like, a stray post at Reddit reminded us to check out what the leaderboards looked like ten-plus years ago. Howard’s 33 would have tied him for 32nd in the league, just behind Jose Cruz, Jr. Jose Bautista’s majors-leading 43 homers would have just cracked the top ten.
