Oh, anyone can just throw a dart and come up with what they think was the worst game in 2011, but that’s not what the tangible-evidence fetishists over at Baseball Prospectus are going to do. Sam Miller came up with a way to quantify the worst game of the season:

↵There were 2,429 games in the major leagues in 2011. Each one of them was a miracle. Each one of them was a precious gift to us. Each one lit up our lives. But in a sample that large, at least one of those miracles is going to grow up to be Fred Phelps.
