With Dave Duncan’s status uncertain, Cardinals announce Derek Lilliquist will be their pitching coach. Dyer Miller will be new bullpen coachLilliquist was the Cardinals’ bullpen coach, and he was a reliever with five different teams over an eight-year major-league career.
The former #6 overall pick in 1987 was a minor-league pitching coach for the Cardinals before he became the bullpen coach, and he had a brief moment in the spotlight this past World Series when he got the wrong reliever up in the bullpen in a Cardinals loss.
