Dolphins vs. Cardinals, Week 4: Miami falls despite Tannehill’s best effort

Ryan Tannehill passed for more than 400 yards but the Miami Dolphins still couldn’t pull out a win against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins fell to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime Sunday, 24-21, despite a huge day from quarterback Ryan Tannehill and wide receiver Brian Hartline.

Ryan Tannehill was 26-for-41 for 431 yards and a touchdown while wideout Brian Hartline had 12 receptions for 253 yards. Still, the Dolphins could not stop the Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals, allowing a game-tying touchdown with 22 seconds remaining in regulation and a 46-yard field goal to win the game in overtime.

Writes Kevin Nogle of SB Nation’s Miami Dolphins blog, The Phinsider, the Dolphins did everything except win Sunday.

Unfortunately, in the end, turnovers came back to haunt the Dolphins this week. Tannehill threw two interceptions and lost one fumble, with Legedu Naanee fumbling on his only catch of the season. ... Once again, there are a ton of positives to come out of this week’s game. But, just like last week, we have to deal with those positives surrounded by the pain of yet another loss.

The Miami Dolphins look to rebound next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
