Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley had successful surgery to repair a broken hip, but he will coach the Vols from the press box when they face Mississippi State.

The game will be a late 9 p.m. ET start in Starkville, and Dooley will be up in the coaches booth. Tennessee indicated that he’s expected to recover and be back to normal coaching duties by next week, but that’s still pending final clearance from the UT medical staff.
