The first round of the 2012 Frys.com Open is in full swing, and while Jhonattan Vegas had the first-round lead for much of the day, Nick O’Hern has taken over as the current leader.
Frys.com Open 2012 leaderboard: Nick O’Hern takes over 1st-round lead
At seven-under through 13 holes, Nick O’Hern has taken over the Frys.com Open lead.

O’Hern is seven-under through his first 13 holes, one stroke ahead of Vegas, who posted a six-under 65. The 40-year-old O’Hern parred his first three holes but has birdied seven of his last 10 to jump into the lead. These two are just ahead of a group of five players tied for third place at five-under. Nicolas Colsaerts, Jonas Blixt and D.A. Points are among the group at five-under. Like O’Hern, all three players are still on the course.
While those players battle for the first round lead, a few other notable names did not get off to good starts. John Daly is currently tied for 126th place at five-over through 17 holes. Ricky Barnes and Trevor Immelman finished three-over on the day and currently sit in a tie for 110th place.
