This week will bring the American Century Championship and with it the play of some of the more well-known amateur golfers in the world given the celebrity factor involved.

As amateur players, we all know that we have a lot to work on, but doing so can be daunting. Golf is supposed to be fun, and in the words of Performance Golf founder and CEO Brixton Albert… it is a lot more fun when you are good at it and playing well.

It’s the getting good at golf that is hard, and to be honest it is overwhelming with the different points of advice available across the scope of the internet. To borrow a line again from Brixton through a chat that SB Nation was a part of… golf is unique from other sports in that it does not have an intelligence layer. When you are trying to get better, there is just so much information available. Discerning what makes sense for you specifically can be a challenge, and thi sis a big reason why so many golfers aren’t actually improving.

Think of the applications we use to consume things like music or entertainment. They are, through their design, built to work towards our own individualized preferences and tastes. Golf should be the same way.

This is where Performance Golf comes in. PG1 is their newest innovation, and it is an AI-powered system within its mobile app that can analyze your swing and know your game better than you do to always make suggestsions to guide you to reach your maximum potential. You simply record yourself, upload, and boom.

What’s more is that the best instructors in the world are also a part of this platform which gives you the world’s smartest way to learn how to play golf while simultaneously learning from highly-sought instructors. It is ultimately a custom-tailored level of help and analysis for any amateur looking to improve their game and to do so in the fastest time possible.

One of these amateurs is in the field this week at the ACC in Rich Eisen. In speaking to SB Nation, Rich noted that he has found Performance Golf’s ability to diagnose his top 4-5 swing flaws, but ultimately his root issue. This has helped to improve his game and ball striking, core qualities of the game of golf. When you have a schedule as busy as he does, you have to get to the root of problems in golf quickly.

Performance Golf offers that opportunity and avenue.
