The first round of the 2012 Frys.com Open is in the books and Nick O’Hern finished the first day with a three-stroke lead.
Frys.com Open 2012 results: Nick O’Hern leads after 1st round
Nick O’Hern shot a 9-under 62 to take the first-round lead at the 2012 Frys.com Open.

O’Hern shot a 9-under 62 on Thursday to take a three-stroke lead over Jhonattan Vegas, Derek Ernst and Nicolas Colsaerts, who are tied for second at 6-under.
Vegas was the first-round leader for much of the round, and was the leader in the clubhouse at 6-under before O’Hern passed him later in the day. Colsaerts started off strong, shooting a 4-under 31 on his front nine, but birdied just two of his last nine holes. He finished the day with a birdie on 18 to move into a tie for second place.
Charles Howell III shot a 5-under 66 on Thursday and is one of five players tied for fifth place. Vijay Singh is also under par after the first round, although he is eight strokes back at 1-under par.
