Cardinals vs. Giants, 2012 NLCS Game 1: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants open the 2012 National League Championship Series Sunday night at San Francisco's AT&T Park. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET.

The Giants will hand the ball to southpaw Madison Bumgarner, who was 16-11 this season with a 3.37 ERA in 32 starts. Bumgarner last pitched in Game 2 of the Division Series, a 9-0 loss to the Reds where he took the loss after giving up four earned runs and seven hits in just 4 ⅓ innings. He faced St. Louis twice this season, losing both starts with a 4.73 ERA. In his last start against the Cardinals on Aug. 9, Bumgarner gave up three runs in six innings.

St. Louis turns to Lance Lynn, who last took the loss in Game 4 of the Division Series against Washington after giving up Jayson Werth's walk-off homer. Lynn made three relief appearances in the Division Series, going 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA. Lynn was 18-7 in the regular season with a 3.78 ERA. He faced San Francisco just once this season, taking the loss on Aug. 7 after conceding four earned runs in six innings.

Television coverage will be available nationally on FOX. The national radio broadcast duties will be handled by ESPN Radio.
