eBay Item of the Day: Time travel on the cheap

If you buy something from a link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

As we learn in Looper, time travel is scheduled to be invented at some point in the not-entirely distant future. Those of you young enough now to enjoy it when it comes along will do well to purchase this item and put it away for later. It’s a 1947 Yankee season press pass. Just type your name on there and, when you get back to 1947, you’ll be able to see 77 free ballgames -- and that doesn’t even include the World Series!

Wait! Hold the phone. If you read the small print on the other side, you’ll see that you’re going to have cough up a quarter every time you go to the park. And let’s not forget the purchase price of the pass, while we’re at it. Well, time traveler be aware, then. You might not want to go after all.
