2012 NCAA Hockey schedule: Ivy Shootout headlines Saturday’s games

Examining the NCAA hockey schedule for Saturday.

Douglas Jones-US PRESSWIRE

Saturday will bring a ton of college hockey across the country. With nearly 30 games on the slate, we should be in for some great action. And with no NHL, what better than a little collegiate action to get your hockey fix?

The main tournament will be the Ivy Shootout, which has four games set between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton and Yale are some of the schools involved in the tournament.

Another game to keep an eye is No. 13 Boston University vs. Massachusetts, which will be televised on WSHM. Also, Maine travels to Providence in a battle of two talented teams that will be televised on Cox Sports. And No. 12 New Hampshire takes on No. 15 Northeastern on WBIN. All three games are scheduled for a 7 p.m. puck drop.

In CCHA action, No. 3 Miami is visiting Yost Arena as it hopes to rebound against No. 6 Michigan at 7:35 p.m. Two more ranked CCHA teams, No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 16 Northern Michigan, meet in at 7:35 in Marquette, Mich.

A full schedule for Saturday’s games can be found on the NCAA Men’s D1 Hockey official website.
