The HSBC Champions, the fourth and final World Golf Championships event of the year, will be held at Mission Hills in Guangdong, China, on the Olazabal Course. Eight former major champions will take part in the event, including two-time event champion Phil Mickelson. Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and defending champ Martin Kaymer are among the other headliners.

This year marks the first time the tournament is being held in Mission Hills, having previously been contested at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai. The HSBC Champions is considered the premiere golf tournament of China.
Seven players in the top 10 of the official World Golf Rankings will be in China for the tournament. In addition to Donald (No. 3) and Westwood (No. 4), the tournament will feature Justin Rose (5), Adam Scott (6), 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson (7), Jason Dufner (9) and 2012 FedEx Cup winner Brandt Snedeker (10). Ernie Els, 2012 British Open champion and four-time major winner, will also be a part of the field.
The first three World Golf Championship events this season were won by three different golfers. Hunter Mahan won the Accenture Match Play Championship, Justin Rose won the Cadillac Championship and Keegan Bradley won the Bridgestone Invitational. Rose and Bradley will play in China, but Mahan will not be at the event.
